More match news for Under 8’s

9 Sep

Exciting times at Peterston FC – we have our first games against Vale of Glamorgan AFL opposition.

U8’s

The U8’s (so thats Years 2 & 3) will be playing Holton Road (Barry) at home (in Peterston) this Saturday 10 September, kick-off 09:10 – so all in this age group please be at the field at 08:45 if possible. Can those in this age group please let me Gareth Hardman know your availability for this game?

Next Saturday (17 Sept) the U8’s are away at Dinas Powys – further details to follow. The kick-off will be the same time of 09:10. It would be good to know who can and cannot make next week as soon as possible as well.

These are much earlier starts than planned, but this is the time the League ask us to start these games. The game will last for 30 minutes (15 minutes each way), after which we would like to have a little session going through what we might have learnt in the game – taking us up to about 10:15 / 10:30. At the moment we do NOT envisage having any training after the away games.

We are hoping to borrow kit for this game (we are looking at the long term kit options in parallel – but this won’t be available for a few weeks yet), but in case this doesn’t happen – we’ll have bibs to wear anyway.

Shin-pads to be bought and worm please.

U10’s

U10’s also have a game at home kick off at 10:30. James has contacted the U10 players separately – those in his group please respond to his email and let him know your availability as soon as you can.

U7’s

Your more than welcome to come and watch our first U8 game at 9:10. Alternatively – you should look to join us at just before 10 when we’ll all the training together.
